Back in 2008, the BJUI featured an extensive article which explored the golden question, do penis extenders really work?

Initially 30 patients were referred towards taking part in the study, with 21 of them being eligible to take part. Of these 21 patients, the average age between them was 45.7 years.
However before the end of the trial, four patients dropped out:

- Two patients dropped out at the three month stage due to an inability to comply with the studies protocol.
- Only one patient dropped out due to discomfort.

How The Patients Used The Penis Extender
Before starting the study, all the patients would have their penis measured in both a flaccid and stretched state. Then when using the penis extender, the patients were told to use the penis extender for at least 4-6 hours a day for a 6 month period.
The study would take a measurement of the flaccid and stretched penis both at the end of the 6 month training period, and also in another 6 months time to see if they retained their results.

Tractive Elongation of the Penis by Means of Stretching Study
Presented at the 1st International Interdisciplinary Symposium on Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery, Barcelona, Spain.
Material and Methods:
Number of patients – 18 ranging from 23-47 years old
